Resource for CRAs Struggling Though COVID-19

Written by Nick Fishman | Mar 25, 2020 11:48:54 AM

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 crisis is testing CRAs and the organizations who support them in ways the industry hasn’t faced since the Great Recession in 2008 and the initial aftermath of 9/11.

And there’s one common denominator among these and other crises that occurred before and after—we always make it through stronger than we were before. We also rely on each other to navigate through the stormy waters.

Jason Morris and I have been fortunate enough to have built relationships with a number of executives across the background screening industry and many of you have reached out over the last week to talk about what we’re seeing among the background screening community now, to bounce ideas off us about what actions to take and for general support throughout this difficult time. So, especially in light of the Mid-Year PBSA conference cancellation, we thought it might be a good idea to start an open forum for all of us to learn from each other, collaborate and commiserate.

Therefore, we have decided to offer a series of panel discussions to help CRAs and the wholesale community get through this crisis with as little impact as possible and emerge stronger than ever. We are doing this on the fly, so we don’t know how often we’ll be doing it and for how long. We do know that it will be free for anyone that wants to join and that everything will be offered online, allowing you to participate without fear of illness.

We anticipate the topics to be around the following areas:

  • Business Continuity Planning and Execution
  • Helpful Advice to Preserving Your Financial Health
  • Tips for Maintaining FCRA Compliance when Traditional Resources are Constricted
  • Affects COVID-19 is Having on Industry M&A Activity
  • Effective Sales & Marketing Strategies for CRAs During This Time
  • And plenty more.

Most importantly, we will maintain your anonymity for any questions you may have for our panelists.

Before we proceed, we’d like to get a sense from CRAs of whether this might be of interest to you.  Please let us know if you think this might be helpful to you and others within your organization. Feel free to email us at nfishman@gmail.com or jmorris1@gmail.com or DM us on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/in/nfishman or linkedin.com/in/jasonbrianmorris

We’ll look forward to hearing from you soon and communicating next steps. In the meantime, please be healthy and safe.
